Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Keruh  is a small Tamil school located in the most northern part of Perak in Pengkalan Hulu, near to the border of Thailand. There are only about 59 students and 12 teachers in the school.

The school started using Frog since 2013 and with strong support from the Headteacher and Senior Assistant Teacher, the school has used Frog actively and consistently in teaching and learning. Frog Admin, Mr Saravanakumar, drives the success of Frog in the school through diligence, creativity and hard work in making sure the Frog VLE is optimised and utilised by teachers and students. Parents are also actively involved by supporting the school financially through Parent Teacher Association (PIBG) initiatives.

Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning

Student Engagement

Since the introduction of Frog, students have been very eager to use Frog in school and also at home. Teachers use Frog for added value in their teaching and learning, and have seen that students are paying more attention in class.

A tool for teachers to teach better

Teachers utilise Frog to prepare and conduct lessons by creating and sharing Sites with students for references. Relief teachers utilise the time to bring students into the computer lab to use FrogPlay.

Frog is making a difference in Community Engagement

Teachers come together as a community to inspire and support one another and students in 21st Century teaching and learning

The school is an active Frog Hub where Mr Saravanakumar conducts workshops on Frog and shares best practices with teachers from nearby schools.

“Since students started using Frog in class, I have seen my students change for the better. They are more interested to learn and pay more attention in class. It’s a great tool to engage with students.”
