Sekolah Kebangsaan Ampangan was established in 1887 as a vernacular school back in the day and is one of the three oldest vernacular schools in Negeri Sembilan. The school has over 790 students and 56 teachers. Headmaster, Tuan Haji Hamzah, and Frog Admin, Cik Zanariah, were finalists in the recent 1BestariNet Teacher Awards (1BNTA) 2018. In 2017, the school was one of the Top 10 schools in the FrogPlay Championship and was also one of the winners for the YTL Foundation Schools Award.
Since its introduction, the school has been actively using Frog. The school became the first Frog Hub in Seremban in 2017 and since then has been an example school to other schools in the district. The success of Frog comes from teachers and parents who are supportive and encouraging of students to use Frog in school and at home.
Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning
In SK Ampangan, Frog is not only being used in subject classes, but in relief classes as well. The school has come up with a schedule for all classes to utilise the Frog Classroom for teaching and learning. All students have been given equal opportunity to experience and explore 21st century learning. FrogPlay is actively used for students to do their revision, especially during examination period.
Since Frog was incorporated into classroom lessons for teaching and learning, the number of students with poor literacy and numeracy have reduced in the school. Not only that, teachers seen students attendance improve in class whenever lessons are conducted with Frog VLE. Teachers are also using Frog in relief classes and find that students are easier to manage as teachers would encourage students to use Frog to complete their assignments and do their revision during that time.

Parents are more connected with what is happening in school
Through the Parent Teacher Association (PIBG), parents are often called in for meetings and briefings on the Frog VLE. When the committee had proposed to parents about getting another Frog Classroom, parents were very supportive as they have seen the benefits of the conducive learning environment in the classroom and interactive learning through the Frog VLE.
