Sekolah Menengah Sains Raja Tun Azlan Shah (SERATAS) is a boarding school located at the outskirts of town in Taiping, Perak. The school has 561 students and 64 teachers, and is one of the most active boarding schools to use Frog.


Since 2013 when Frog was introduced to the school, the school’s leadership team was supportive of it. The Frog Admin, Cikgu Azwin Syuhairah, came up with a timetable to encourage teachers and students to use Frog in the computer lab.

Student Engagement

Teachers use Frog as a blended learning tool to engage students and have gained positive response when students began showing more interest during lessons. Using Frog for assignments also encourage students to be more eager to complete assignments given.

Decrease Workload

Cikgu Jazlina Abd Jalil, Maths teacher of the school, attended the eRPH training is spearheading the implementation of eRPH in the school. Many teachers have started using eRPH via Frog after consistent encouragement. Teachers prepare and submit lesson plans online through Frog using the eRPH application to save time, cost and reduce workload.

As a Frog Hub and first boarding school in Perak to be made a Frog Hub, SM Sains Raja Tun Azlan Shah holds workshops and professional learning community (PLC) sessions on Frog VLE that are attended by teachers from other boarding schools conducted by Cikgu Jazlina.
