Sekolah Kebangsaan Ibok is a rural school in Kemaman, Terengganu. The school became active in using Frog since 2013 when received a Frog Classroom. The school has a supportive administrative team as well as three Gold Advocates, Cikgu Mohd Fadli bin Mohd Shafie, Cikgu Syed Mohd Albanna bin Syed Salim and Cikgu Mohd Naim bin Sadoon.

The Headteacher, Encik Azmi bin Ibrahim, played an important role in driving and implementing Frog in SK Ibok. He always encouraged teachers to utilise Frog in classrooms to cultivate 21st Century teaching and learning, which is in line with the government’s vision for 21st Century teaching and learning. The school’s administrative team came up creative strategies to encourage teachers to utilise Frog such as awarding teachers with the most active and consistent use of Frog in teaching and learning. The team also came up with flexible schedules for teachers to conduct lessons in the Frog Classroom to further cultivate interactive teaching and learning in school.

Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning

A tool for teachers to teach better

Although there are still teachers not actively using Frog, most teachers have already adapted the Frog VLE platform into teaching and learning. Teachers can easily assign quizzes to students through the VLE. Some teachers are also using Pages for extracurricular activities in school.

Frog is making a difference in Administration

Increase Efficiency

The school admin is very creative and always looking for ways to collaborate with teachers in school and from other schools. The Frog Drive has enabled easy communication and file sharing among teachers.

Frog is making a difference in Community Engagement

Teachers come together as a community to inspire and support one another and students in 21st Century teaching and learning

The school’s three Gold Advocates are known as “The Golden Trio” in Kemaman and have actively conducted Hubs Module workshops to introduce Frog to teachers from schools within the district. They have often been invited by schools to share SK Ibok’s best practices in using Frog. The district education office have also approached them to conduct Hubs Module sessions for principals and headteachers of schools in the district.

Students come together as a community to inspire and support other students and teachers in 21st Century teaching and learning

The school is an exemplary school within the Kemaman district. Teachers have established a team of students that act as mentors and guide to other students in using Frog.

“Frog has changed the education landscape and has given teachers and students a new teaching and learning experience. It is not easy to adapt to new changes, but there is also no shortcut to success. Teachers and students should try using Frog and feel the difference between traditional learning methods and 21st Century education.”

- Cikgu Mohd Fadli bin Mohd Shafie, Gold Advocate.
