KUALA LUMPUR – Fifty Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) located all over the country today received RM1.5 million in contribution to develop 21st century classes.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk P. Kamalanathan said the 21st century class programme carried out by his ministry and YTL Foundation was aimed at improvising classrooms with conducive learning environment.
“In this first initiative between the ministry and YTL Foundation, the ministry will provide RM750,000 while the remaining sum will be funded by the foundation.
“Each classroom will be designed as student -focused learning space, equipped with 4G internet access and computers linked to ‘Frog Virtual Learning’ as well as a flexible teaching schedule,” he told a media conference after launching the 21st century class here yesterday.
Also present was YTL Foundation programme director Datin Kathleen Chew.
