Sekolah Kebangsaan (1) Kuala Ampang is located in Ulu Kelang with over 300 students and 23 teachers. Majority of the students enrolled are from families living in the armed forces housing area, while other students live within a neighbouring village in Ulu Kelang. The school has a computer lab, equipped with 4G internet connection and 41 Netbooks.
In 2016, Cikgu Mohd Hafidzuddin started creating Sites for Pendidikan Islam and kickstarted the use of Frog in the school. He moved on to utilise the school dashboard as an introduction for teachers to know more about Frog. When teachers began to show interest, he created basic training references on how to utilise Frog for teaching and learning, The school participated in the Frog Championships Level Up competition last year and was one of the top 10 schools in the district for the Maths challenge.
Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning
Cikgu Hafidzuddin introduced the “One Week One Task” programme where teachers assigned exercise or homework to students through FrogPlay. This is to encourage students to continue using Frog even at home. The school also started an “X-Drill UPSR” programme by focusing on core subjects for Year 6 students, as a preparation method for the major examination. Through consistent revision exercise and revision done through FrogPlay, the school achieved 100% student passes for all core subjects.

Parents are connected with what is happening in school
Parents are supportive of the school utilising Frog for teaching and learning. They would often come to school to liaise with teachers to check on students’ work and activities in school. The PIBG of the school sponsored the cabling works to relocate the internet access around the school so that nearby residences close to school are able to have internet connection at home.
