SK KUNAK JAYA, SABAH

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kunak Jaya is located near a small town and has over 760 students and a total of 75 teachers in both morning and afternoon sessions. The school has been facing lack of devices and accessibility to the internet for the longest time, but that has not stopped them from utilising Frog in teaching and learning.

In 2014, the PKG collaborated with Frog Admin Cikgu Jumiatia binti Warisi to kickstart the adoption of Frog in SMK Kunak Jaya. FrogAsia Consultants had given various trainings to not only the Frog Admin but to teachers in the school as well to help them get started with Frog. Since then, the school has been motivated to successfully utilise Frog in teaching and learning.

Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning

Student engagement

Although lacking devices, teachers still tried their best to use Frog in class. This is because they realised that students are more interested to learn when Frog is being used to conduct lessons. This is encouraging for teachers to keep using Frog so that students will be motivated to learn and improve academically.

Frog is making a difference in Administration

Decrease workload

The school not only uses Frog in teaching and learning, but in administration as well. Teachers utilise e-RPH through Frog to complete their daily plan submissions. They find it to be convenient as opposed to manually recording down their lesson plans into the log book on a daily basis. Through Frog, teachers are able to save time and energy, leading to better focus towards teaching.
