Sekolah Kebangsaan Ledang is a rural school located in the Tangkak district of Johor, with over 320 students and 52 teachers. The school started using Frog in teaching and learning in 2017. The Headmaster, Encik Kamarrudin, is highly involved in implementing Frog in school and encouraging teachers who are hesitant in using technology in teaching and learning. He is also constantly monitoring teachers and students progress by taking time to walk into classes to observe teaching and learning sessions.
Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning
When Frog was implemented into teaching and learning, teachers started using gamified learning through FrogPlay to engage students interactively. Students became more excited to learn with FrogPlay.
Students interest and excitement to learn with Frog have resulted in significant improvement in examination results. Encik Kamuruddin reports that results for subjects such as Bahasa Melayu, English, Maths and Science across Year 5 and 6 students have improved compared to previous years. He finds that students began improving when FrogPlay was introduced into teaching and learning.
Frog is making a difference in Administration
Frog has given the school an effective platform to increase efficiency in administration. The principal encourages teachers to submit their lesson plans online through the e-RPH application embedded in the Frog VLE. This has allowed the Headmaster and the head of subject departments to monitor teachers and students progress anytime, anywhere. Headmaster Encik Kamaruddin uses Frog Analytics to identify teachers and students that may need help and support.
Frog is making a difference in Community Engagement
Teachers come together as a community to inspire and support one another and students in 21st Century teaching and learning
As the Headmaster, Encik Kamaruddin is dedicated to educate his teachers by inviting Gold Advocates from others schools to conduct workshops on Frog and eRPH. Not only that, Encik Kamaruddin attended professional development courses on ICT as an example to encourage his school community to integrate technology in education. He also encourage his teachers to develop their ICT knowledge and skills by attending professional development courses on ICT.
"Frog VLE has helped students to improve in results. Not only that, the senior leadership team utilises the VLE platform to monitor the teachers work and progress.”
