SK SANTUBONG, SARAWAK

Sekolah Kebangsaan Santubong is a rural school located in a fishing village, near Gunung Santubong in Kuching, Sarawak. The school has about 200 students and 25 teachers. When Frog was introduced to them in 2014, Cikgu Zamri bin Mohamad Razali initiated for Year 2 to Year 6 students to be familiarised with the concept. Although it was a slow process as most students did not have computers or internet access at home, he was determined that students would soon get the hang of it. With support from the leadership team, the school became more active in using Frog for teaching and learning since 2017. The school was recognized for the highest Frog logins in the entire district.

Student Engagement

Students are always eager to learn with Frog. Their eagerness is evident whenever they are always asking Cikgu Zamri when can they go to the computer lab to use Frog. When FrogPlay was implemented, their excitement and interest only grew as they really enjoy being able to play games after completing Quizzes.

A tool for teachers for teach better

As a Maths teacher, Cikgu Zamri is always looking for interesting ways to make lessons interactive and easy to understand for his students. Through Sites and Quizzes, he is able to incorporate a variety of creative methods to make lessons fun. When Frog Boost was introduced, it made things even easier for Cikgu Zamri as content is available and aligned with the curriculum standards.
