SK SUNGAI NYIOR, PENANG

Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Nyior is city school located in Butterworth, Penang with 111 students and 18 teachers. The school is active in academic and non-academic activities in the Seberang Perai Utara district. The school started using Frog only this year and was actively participating in Frog Championships. The school won second place on a district level for primary school category in the Frog Championships Level Up Maths. The school also recently received and launched its Frog Classroom.

The school’s journey with Frog began when Headmistress Puan Nurzaini binti Osman attended a VLE Programme organized by the PKG, in which she then approached the PKG to know more about Frog. In having more knowledge and information about Frog, Puan Nurzaini made it her mission to cultivate Frog into the school’s system to transform the school into a 21st Century learning environment. She set a clear vision for the school and began bringing teachers on-board to use Frog in class. With the help of Frog Admin Puan Roslina binti Basharudin, teachers and students are now actively using Frog in teaching and learning.

Frog is making a difference in Teaching and Learning

Student progress

Through the use of Frog in teaching and learning, students have shown more motivation to learn and are diligently completing their assignments and quizzes because Frog has given them a new experience in learning.

A tool for teachers to teach better

Teachers find it more convenient to prepare lessons with Frog as there are already available content such as FrogPlay Quizzes. Teachers especially like using FrogPlay because it has the gaming element that makes students motivated to complete quizzes in order to play games. Not only that, with the automated marking system, teachers have more time to focus on teaching.
