Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Tun Said was established in 2000 with 500 students and 45 teachers. The school is a boarding school and also a Frog Champion School in 2014 during the initial implementation of Frog in Sabah. It was then that the school started using Frog and became active as well. The school was the most active Frog user in Kota Belud in 2017 and had launched their Frog Classroom this year in April.

The Headmaster of the school is very supportive of Frog and is constantly following up with the school’s performance as well as teachers and students progress with Frog. To encourage sustainable use of Frog in the school, the school has a schedule for teachers to use the ICT room and Frog Classroom for teaching and learning.

Frog is making a difference in Teaching and Learning

Student engagement

Since Frog, students are more active in participating in classroom activities as they enjoy using Frog in learning. Students are also taking more initiative to do their own revision at home as teachers will share learning materials through Sites and Quizzes.

A tool for teachers to teach better

Teachers find it more convenient to prepare and conduct lessons with Frog. They can easily prepare and conduct their lessons through Sites, assign homework to students using Assignments and provide more revision material for students through Quizzes. Teachers are also more motivated to teach as Frog helps them engage students better with interactive visuals.

Frog is making a difference in Community Engagement

Teachers come together as a community to inspire and support one another and students in 21st Century teaching and learning

As a Hub School, SMK (A) Tun Said utilises the Frog Classroom as Hub for Module workshops to be conducted. The school often collaborates with PKG to invite schools to attend workshops conducted in the school. Frog Admin, Cikgu Ridzuan, also conducts some workshop such as how to use Frog for NILAM. Teachers who are new to Frog are now more aware and find it easy to use.
