“Frog VLE is not just a teaching and learning tool, but has also benefited the school in easing administrative tasks for teachers and admins. It has given us a sustainable means to go fully digital and paperless.” - Puan Norsiah, Headmistress and Gold Advocate.

Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning
A tool for teachers to teach better
Since its implementation into the school’s teaching and learning system in 2016, Frog has been fully utilised as the school’s main platform for teaching and learning. Teachers create their own content for lessons using Sites, Assignments and FrogPlay.
Frog is making a difference in Administration
Through Puan Norsiah’s consistent enforcement for the school to go digital and utilise technology tools, the school is fully online with information easily accessible by the community anytime, anywhere.
Teachers are utilising online applications embedded in the Frog VLE to help them in their administration work. Lesson plans, meeting minutes, room booking and daily reports are all prepared and submitted online through the Frog VLE. The school also uses FrogSnap in documenting events happening in school. Going digital has helped save time by reducing double work and is cost efficient by reducing paper consumption.
SMK Air Molek also uses Frog as platform for the teachers and students to share and disseminate information, as well as providing easy and fast access to information anytime, anywhere. Information such as extracurricular activities and schedules, academic progress reports, students’ affairs updates, teachers’ profiles and other administration documents are shared on the school’s dashboard and are readily available for reference.
Frog is making a difference in Community Engagement
Parents are more connected with what is happening in school
In 2016, during the launch of Hubs in SMK Air Molek, Puan Norsiah invited parents on the committee of the Parents Teacher Association (PIBG) to attend a Frog VLE introduction session. Parents got to sit with their children and experience how to use Frog, guided by their children and advocate teachers. Parents were given hands-on activities and exercises to familiarise with Frog. Parent Sites were also created such as e-Aduan, so that parents have an avenue to give feedback to teachers.
Later in 2017, Puan Norsiah went on to select parent representatives from each student level, Form 1 to Form 5, and appointed them as Parent Advocates. Parent Advocates are tasked to help other parents understand and adapt to Frog so that students are able to utilise Frog even at home. These parents were given certification of appointment as an appreciation for their efforts to help other parents with Frog.
Teachers come together as a community to inspire and support one another and students in 21st Century teaching and learning
Puan Norsiah is an active and dedicated Gold Advocate that has conducted various workshops and sharing sessions about Frog. She has been invited to many schools by school principals and even PKG and PPD officers to share about SMK Air Molek’s best practices and how she, as the Headmistress, successfully cultivated a 21st Century teaching and learning environment within the school.
