Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Felda Bandar Baru Serting is located in the Jempol district. The school was established on 1 December 1989 and was moved to the FELDA development area on 1 June 1990. With the increasing number of students, the school held two sessions in 1992 and also increased the infrastructure in 1994. On 3 August 1999, the school was selected among 90 schools for the implementation of Sekolah Bestari Programme. Prime Minister at the time, YAB Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad, officiated the opening for SMK (Felda) Bandar Baru Serting.
Today, the school remains as one of the best schools for Sekolah Bestari Luar Bandar and has won various awards such as Anugerah Pembestarian Negeri Sembilan, best Smart School Qualification Standard (SSQS) for Negeri Sembilan, Anugerah Guru Media Terbilang and best ICT management within the state. Over 540 students and 55 teachers collaborate on various school programmes to ensure the successful implementation of 21st Century teaching and learning in school.
The school was introduced to Frog in 2012 and has been active ever since. Former Headmaster, Tuan Haji Norazam bin Hj Nayan, played an active role in ensuring all teachers had the opportunity to learn more about Frog so that it could be utilised in teaching and learning. He set an example for other teachers by using Frog to complete his daily tasks in school. When he transferred, his efforts were continued by Headmistress Puan Faridah binti Sulan who is very supportive and understanding of the importance of 21st Century education.
Encouraged by the support from the school management, Frog Admin Puan Maziana binti Osman along with other advocate teachers and the school’s Bridget Bestari actively organize programmes to get all teachers onboard with Frog and trainings to familiarize them in using the platform for classroom lessons. Besides that, the school’s senior leadership team also came together to ensure that school grounds are covered with internet connectivity.
Frog is making a difference in Teaching & Learning
Students highly enjoy using FrogPlay because of the gamification element that makes learning fun and interesting. Students would often stayback after school hours to continue using FrogPlay for extra revision. With regular revision, students have improved in their understanding of subjects. Not only that, the consistent use of Frog Sites to complete homework and projects, students have become more tech-savvy and have developed better skills in research and compiling information. Through the various widgets available on Frog, students have also learned to create better presentation decks.
A tool for teachers to teach better
Ever since Frog was introduced to the school, teachers have been utilising Frog for homework and relief classes. Teachers find it convenient to share learning and revision material with students as Frog provides ready-to-use content that are aligned with the school syllabus.
Frog is making a difference in Administration
Teachers are able to save time and cost in writing and printing learning material for students, by sharing and assigning students with ready-to-use content available on Frog. Teachers also utilise Frog to book their slots for students to use the platform, which has avoided error and extra work.
The school utilises its school dashboard on Frog as an information platform where teachers, students and parents are constantly updated with important announcements and notices, as well as school activities and PIBG meetings. The public can also access the school blog via Frog where the school posts about activities and programmes that have went on.

SMK (Felda) Bandar Baru Serting is a Frog Hub School that often hosts Hub Modules workshops to train teachers within PPD Jempol. Not just that, advocate teachers and PKG Bahau often collaborate to organize workshops for schools around the area to learn more about Frog and hear about the best practices of SMK (Felda) Bandar Baru Serting.

The school has a Bridget Bestari that consist of students that have been trained by the Frog Admin to assist teachers in the computer lab and to guide their peers in accessing Frog. They also co-run school Frog activities with the ICT team.
