You would be spearheading the overall communications strategy which would drive the direction of FrogAsia’s brand, voice, and reputation. As a manager you would be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing the Company’s external and internal communications programs.
a) Take care of all company’s corporate and external communications including public relations, media/influencer engagements, news monitoring, official responses to issues and crisis management
b) Develop and maintain close relationships and productive engagement with an ecosystem of media, key partners, and influencers.
c) Develop communications strategy, plans, and schedule with the relevant communication channels (media/offline/digital/social) in alignment with the company and team objectives
d) Lead creation and curation of content for communication programs and marketing campaigns to maximize communications efficacy in achieving the company and campaign objectives
e) Responsible for all key messaging and copy for communication programs and marketing campaigns: Define and create key messaging and copy for all communication collaterals including (but not limited to) press releases, feature articles, fact sheets, marketing collaterals, emails, social media posts, videos, case studies, executive biographies etc.Vet and proof-read all outgoing materials to ensure all key messages, tone and manner are aligned with the company’s key message positioning and brand communication standards
f) Manage company’s public/external facing communication channels (eg: website, social media, media buys etc.) to ensure all contents are current, compelling and support all ongoing marketing initiatives
g) Track, measure, report and improve on all activities
h) Manage the relevant stakeholders (both internal and external) involved in the communication of company’s messaging
i) Ensure all communication programs and activities are executed on time and on budget
j) Manage the approved budget for all communication programs
k) Lead the Communications team to ensure they perform well in their roles and deliver all required tasks and responsibilities
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Minimum) or equivalent
Experience: 5 years of experience in Media and Communications, Mass Communications, Journalism, Writing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field is required, with direct experience writing and supporting Senior Management. Project management and coordinating content for digital media and events
Language: Strong English proficiency both in both verbal and written communication. Good command of the Bahasa Malaysia language and the ability to translate between both English and Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
Environment: Ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Attitude: A passion for writing, communications, and branding, as well as for leading, building and mentoring others. Confidence, proactiveness, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
Skills: Excellent creative and visual skills, including video production and slide design.
Travel: Candidate will be based in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur but occasional travel within Malaysia may be required as work involves schools across Malaysia.
