Editing a Quiz

  1. Click on FrogDrive q37 on the Frog Bar.
  2. Click on Quizzes on the left-hand menu.
  3. You can edit any quizzes that you have created. Select My Quizzes.
  4. Click on the quiz you would like to edit. This will highlight the quiz in blue.
  5. Click on the actions cog menu q38, then click ‘Edit’. This will open the quiz, which can now be edited.
Note: Only unpublished quizzes can be edited. If you need to make changes to a published quiz, you must first duplicate the quiz and then make changes to the duplicate.

Duplicating a Quiz

  1. Click on FrogDrive q37 on the Frog Bar.
  2. Click on Quizzes on the left-hand menu.
  3. You can duplicate any quiz to make a copy that you are able to edit.
  4. Click on the quiz you would like to duplicate. This will highlight the quiz in blue.
  5. Click on the actions cog menu q38, then click ‘Duplicate quiz’. This will open a new copy of the quiz, which can now be edited.
  6. A pop-up will appear to ask you to confirm that you would like to duplicate the quiz. To confirm, click q39.
Note: Consider the name of the duplicated quiz to make it easier to find in future.

Deleting a Quiz

  1. Click on FrogDrive on the Frog Bar.
  2. Click ‘Quizzes’ on the left-hand menu.
  3. Click ‘My Quizzes’.
  4. Click on the quiz you would like to delete. This will highlight the quiz in blue.
  5. Click on the actions cog menu , then click ‘Delete’.
  6. A pop-up will appear to ask you to confirm that you would like to delete the quiz. To confirm, click .
Note:

  • You can only delete quizzes in ‘My Quizzes’. However, you cannot delete any of your quizzes in ‘My Quizzes’ once they’ve been published.

Searching for a Quiz

Once you have saved your quiz, all your quizzes will be stored in your FrogDrive.
  1. Click on FrogDrive q37 on the Frog Bar.
  2. Click on Quizzes on the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the filter icon q40to help you search for the quiz.
  4. Search according to Quiz Name, the Subject or the Form by typing into the fields or using the drop-downs.
  5. Click on to show the q41 results of your search.q42
Note: If you know the name of the exercise you are looking for, simply type the name of the exercise into the search bar.

Publishing a Quiz

In order to begin using your quiz in a Site or Assignment, your quiz must be published. Published quizzes can be accessed by all teachers within your school VLE instance, thus creating a bank of quizzes that can be used easily and conveniently for teaching and learning.
  1. Click on FrogDrive q37 on the Frog Bar.
  2. Click on Quizzes on the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the quiz you would like to publish. This will highlight the quiz in blue.
  4. Click on the actions cog menu q38, then click ‘Publish’.
  5. A pop-up will appear to ask you to confirm that you would like to publish your quiz. To confirm, click q39.
Note: Publishing a quiz creates a copy of that quiz is within ‘School Quizzes’ for other teachers to use.

Using Quizzes in a Site

Quizzes can be made available as part of a Site. This allows you to make these quizzes available to students at any time, and allows students to complete the quizzes as part of revision.
Adding a Quiz to a Site
  1. On a new Site or an existing Site, drag and drop the Quiz widget into the Site.
  2. Double-click the Quiz widget to bring up the widget settings.
  3. Under the widget settings, click q43.
  4. This will open FrogDrive where you can create a new quiz or use an existing quiz.
    • To create a new quiz, click q3.
    • To create an existing quiz, click on a quiz and click q44.
  5. Your Quiz will then be added to your Site.
  6. To save changes to your Site, click on q45.
Viewing Quiz Results From the Data Viewer
If you have ‘Edit and Manage’ (admin) access to a Site and have included data gathering items such as quizzes, polls or forms you will want to review the data that has been collected by these items. Data Viewer is a tool that can be used to review these collections of data. It is accessed on a site by site basis and also provides you with the ability to export the data collected.
  1. To access Data Viewer, browse to a site that you wish to review collected data for and then On the navigation menu next to the Frog Head, click on the Site Menu q46, then click on Data Viewer.

  1. In the data viewer, click on the q48 icon on the left menu to review the data collected from quizzes on the site you have chosen.
When viewing the data for an individual quiz the summary area of the view will display:

  • The name of the quiz.
  • How many times people have taken the quiz (total submissions).
  • The number of people the site has been shared with.
  • The date and time of the first submission.
  • The date and time of the most recent submission.

The summary area will also display a graph showing the number of submissions per day, week or month. If the quiz has been active for less than 14 days the graph is displayed in days, between 14 and 59 days in weeks and 60 days or over in months.

The following data fields will also be returned from the quiz, which can then be exported to a CSV:

  • Username – The username of the person who took the quiz.
  • Name – The full name of the person who took the quiz.
  • Start – The date and time the person began the quiz.
  • End – The date and time the person completed the quiz.
  • Score – The final score achieved, based on questions answered correctly first time and questions answered correctly on retries.
  • Answered First Time – The number of questions answered correctly first time.
  • Answered After Retry – The number of questions answered correctly on a retry, after initially answering incorrectly.
  • Total Retry Attempts – The number of physical retries attempted by the person taking the quiz, this is not the number of questions retried.

To export data, click on select the actions menu q38, and select ‘Export’.

Upon clicking on Export, your data would be automatically downloaded onto your device in CSV file.

Assigning a Quiz

Quizzes can be assigned to students to allow them to complete the quizzes as part of homework.
Having built the quiz, there are three ways these can be assigned to students:

  • From FrogDrive
  • From Assignments
  • Within a Site
From FrogDrive
  1. Click on FrogDrive q37 on the Frog Bar.
  2. Click on Quizzes on the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the quiz you would like to assign. This will highlight the quiz in blue.
  4. Click on the actions cog menu q38 , then click ‘Assign’.
  5. A ‘New Assignment’ window will appear. Follow the instructions to enter the assignment name, subject, instructions, and recipients.
  6. Click on q51.
From Assignments
  1. Click on Quick Launch q52 on the Frog Bar.
  2. Click Assignments.
  3. Click q53.
  4. Enter the assignment name, subject, instructions and recipients.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter the assignment available dates.
  7. In the section ‘Add resources to the assignment’, click q54.
  8. Click Quizzes.
  9. Select the quiz you wish to assign, click on it and click q44.
  10. Click q51to assign your Quiz.
From a Site
  1. After adding a quiz to a Site (see section 6.1), click on q55
  2. Click on Assign.
  3. A ‘New Assignment’ window will appear. Follow the instructions to enter the assignment name, subject, instructions, and recipients.
  4. Click on q51.
Note: Once students have completed the quiz as part of their assignments, you can view their results within the Assignments application.
